Registration is Back Online The West Nile Virus Survivors Foundation organized to support survivors, families and others affected by the virus. The foundation has organized a support group at www.westnilesurvivor.com to help survivors of West Nile Virus, West Nile Encephalitis, West Nile Meningitis, West Nile Meningoencephalitis and associated sequella (flaccid paralysis, poliomyelitis, fatigue, mental confusion, etc.) deal with the effects of the deadly virus upon victims, survivors, family members and friends. The foundation is open to all persons regardless of race, color, sex, health condition, etc. Membership is voluntary. The foundation provides information through the web site, internet presence, newsletters, testimonials, speeches, presentations and any means necessary that will benefit or guide, console or interest persons concerned about West Nile Virus. The foundation is not a medical facility, sales organization, nor profit motivated entity. West Nile Virus Survivors Foundation is incorporated in the State of Louisiana, USA as a non-profit corporation and recorded as such, in the Parish of Lafayette. CDC reported and Louisiana recorded, 2002 West Nile Virus Meningoencephalitis and poliomyelitis, and recorded St. Louis Encephalitis survivor, Mitch Coffman ASLA/MLArch., MSc., is the founding director. Federal designation as a tax exempt 501(c)(4) social welfare organization is applied for and pending determination. The foundation is hopeful this determination will assist in the effort to distribute rehabilitation equipment (walking canes, walkers, wheel chairs, ventilators, etc.) to survivors-as recommended by a professional health care provider. The foundation also supports other survivor sites and or charities and hopes to contribute time, finances, resources and confidence in those individual and group services.
